My best friends wedding is a 1997 romance/drama spanning over 1hr 52mints, directed by PJ Hogan.
There are 4 main character- Julia Roberts playing Julianne potter, Dermot mulroney as Micheal, Rubert Everett as George Downes and Cameron Diaz as Kimberly Wallace.
Basically, Michael and Julianne are childhood friends. The two had decided that if they dont get married by the age of 28years then they will marry each other. On the 28th bday of Julianne, Michael calls to inform that he is getting married in next 4 days and is having sort of cold feet. But then Julianne who had turned down Michael over and over for years now, realises that he is the love of her life and rushes to sabotage his wedding. Only to find out that his bride, Kimmy is very pleasant about Julianne and Michael relation and even goes ahead to make her the maid of honour! What will she do now? How will she fight the perfect bride for Michael? Will she get her love of the life?
This movie has been realised in Chinese version on Aug 5, 2016; Mexican remake was made on Feb 14, 2019; and a hindi remake was made on June 2002 called ‘Mere yaar ki shadi hai’.
The movie is funny, heartwarming and light. Its IMDb rating is 6.3/10.
